I am your Office Administrator at Westminster
United Church, where I support daily operations and help create a welcoming and caring environment for the community. I enjoy organizing, supporting others, and contributing to a space where people feel connected and valued. Outside of work, I love gardening especially growing indoor plants and exploring creative hobbies like crochet. I am passionate about learning and finding joy in simple, meaningful moments. “Let all that you do be done with love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14) |

At Westminster United Church, I run Creation and Connection during the Sunday church services. I provide a space for children to explore the stories of the bible in thoughtful and fun ways.
I’m an undergraduate Math student at the University of Waterloo with experience in child care and education. I currently volunteer as a tutor, planning math lessons for children 6 to 8. In the past I have worked for THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener and for the city of Kitchener’s summer camp program. I’m passionate about encouraging creativity and curiosity in youth, as a well maintained love for learning starts young and can make lasting impacts. I was baptized at Westminster in 2005 and my family has had a longtime connection to the United Church. My grandfather Jack Patterson was a minister from 1960 up until his retirement. |

I've been privileged to hold the position of pianist at Westminster United Church since 2006, and I enjoy having my students perform in the church's lovely sanctuary for my studio recitals each December and June. I pursued a Masters of Music degree as well as a doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. I moved back to Waterloo in 2002 and have been active performing as a harpsichordist while teaching piano at the Beckett Conservatory at Laurier. As a harpsichordist, I perform both solo and ensemble music of earlier eras, as well as music of today.
A 2002 album, Gathered Evidence, contains my performance of Peter Hatch's harpsichord solo In a Vernacular Way. Memorable concerts were combining the harpsichord and the zheng with renowned zheng player Mei Han for the Open Ears Festival in 2005, and improvising on French unmeasured preludes with shakuhachi player Gerard Yun in 2012 for The Congress of the Humanities. A profoundly meaningful experience for me was collaborating with cellist Ben Boldt-Martin in 2016 to create a concert based on the music of Arvo Pärt and my friend John Parcell. My most important collaborations, however, have been with my children Gabriel and Isabelle and my wonderful husband Ludwik. |
