C.E. Squad is the new term for Church/Sunday School at Westminster United. This new name is team-focused, energetic and will encourage a more unique and intriguing CE experience for the children.

Don’t be intimidated by the name, our squad is always inclusive and welcomes new members! !

CE Squad sessions begin Sunday, September 11th at 10:30 am!

Laura and Bethany are excited to be back for another energizing year with the children and youth of Westminster United.

The CE Squad can look forward to unique lessons, multimedia, fresh activities, congregational involvement and community fellowship in the year ahead.

We are in the midst of planning many events and opportunities for the children and youth of Westminster United. Check out the Events Calendar for dates and subscribe to regular emails from WUC in order to get updates on these activities.

Lastly, we have limited teachers and are in need of your help! We cannot provide such exciting programming without help from the congregation. If you are able to dedicate one OR multiple Sundays to teaching, please contact us at *Remember, these lessons are thoughtfully prepared and leave little, if any work, for you to do other than teach!

Join us Sunday, September 11th to help kick off another church school year!

about Laura

I am currently a Student Life Programmer at Conestoga College, which involves coordinating the Respect Campaign for the College, as well as planning events and facilitating workshops that provide personal and professional growth for students. I am passionate about social change and community development, which is evident in my volunteer efforts across KW and my Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Development Studies. I am active within the United Church of Canada: previously coordinating Hamilton and London Conference Youth Forums, representing as a General Council Commissioner, and now as a co-founder of the Way Forward community youth-led worship initiative. I love that Westminster continues to support and encourage my shared values of education, citizenship, leadership and engagement. Our dynamic Christian Education program is founded on these principles. We love being coordinators and welcome you to join us in the fun!
about Bethany

I am a registered veterinary technician working at Chicopee Hills Animal Hospital in Kitchener. I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my pets; Geller and Hudson.  I have always felt rooted in the United Church and called to be a part of this community. Westminster is a unique, warm and forward-thinking church in which I am proud to be an active member. Leading the Christian Education program at WUC is how I choose to share my creative skills and energy with this special congregation. I look forward to the inspiration and blessings this church continues to share with me.
